A Legacy of Passion and Excellence in Golf Instruction
Founded in 2003, the Johnny Warren Golf Academy (JWGA) continues to evolve and innovate in the world of golf instruction. Johnny Warren’s lifelong passion for teaching and sharing the game is the foundation of the Academy. Since beginning his career as a club professional in 1975, Johnny has dedicated decades to studying the golf swing under the guidance of many of the game’s most respected instructors.
From Vision to Reality: A Commitment to Full-Time Instruction
A member of the PGA of America since 1987, Johnny recognized a growing demand for his teaching services prior to relocating to Tennessee Grasslands. With an expanding client base and increasing recognition, he made the decision to focus exclusively on instruction.
This led to the development of a dedicated indoor/outdoor facility in Old Hickory, Tennessee. During these formative years, Johnny built a strong reputation across the region, earning numerous accolades and helping countless students achieve measurable success in their games.
A Premier Facility Designed for Year-Round Progress
When the opportunity arose to expand to a state-of-the-art teaching center at Tennessee Grasslands, Johnny seized it.
With cutting-edge swing analysis technology, a highly skilled teaching team, and an environment designed for peak performance, the JWGA is positioned as a premier destination for golf improvement.
Exceptional Instruction in a Scenic and Supportive Setting
Golfers of all ages and skill levels are welcomed at the JWGA, where personalized instruction is available year-round. Located at Tennessee Grasslands and surrounded by the stunning views of Old Hickory Lake, the Academy offers a relaxed, professional environment adjacent to a championship course designed by Bill Bergin. Johnny’s students experience expert guidance in a setting designed to foster growth, confidence, and a lasting love for the game.
“Johnny takes great pride in ensuring that each and every student that comes to the academy fully understands how to make their golf game excel to the next level. Communicating to his students is one of his many great assets. He can make the seemingly most complex problem very simple. That is an essential skill to have when you look at the great diversity of his students.”
